When you purchase an imported leather animal, you are buying a truly unique art. These animals come in various sizes from miniatures to life-size. The quality is unbelievable. You can barely tell the difference from the real animal. Families study each animal to assure that the faces, muscles and even veins look as they should. We have every animal imaginable. There is quite a process these animals go through to evolve. The first step is to mold wire into the shape of the animal that is to be created. The animal is then filled with papier mache'. This is no simple task. It has to be molded and cut because every detail shows through the leather. Once it is perfected, wet leather made of goat or sheep is very carefully rubbed or applied around the animal to show every detail. This is where quality comes to live. It is then dipped into dye to create the proper color. It is allowed to fully dry by sunlight and then bufffed to a high sheen. And believe it or not, each piece is made by hand and not by machine.
